Sid George Wilson III was born on January 20th, 1977, in Iowa, United States of America. He is popularly known as DJ Starscream or #0 and was the youngest member of the Grammy-award-winning metal band, Slipknot.
Career
Wilson was raised in Iowa and is of English descent. He derived the name Slipknot from the ‘Transformers’, a movie character with the same name. Being a fan of the Transformers franchise, Wilson also sports tattoos from the same.
Wilson’s music can be described as horror-like noises, scratching, and heavy sound effects that are a genre of music called heavy metal. He insisted on being number zero when there were numbers assigned to each band member.
Wilson is also known for his stage dives but faced an injury in one of the events and broke his heels by jumping from a height of 10 feet. Wilson has performed for Slipknot since 1998 and began playing keyboard for the band in 2008.
