Feuds
50 Cent had a public feud with Ja Rule and his label, Murder Inc. Records. 50 Cent alleges the rivalry started after Ja Rule saw him with a man who robbed him of his jewelry, as well as because Ja Rule was “trying to be Tupac.”
50 Cent implied that the conflict was related to the shooting in which he was ambushed and shot. Eminem, Dr. Dre, Obie Trice, D12, DMX, Busta Rhymes, and the rest of 50 Cent’s labelmates got involved as well.
Following that, 50 Cent was signed to Eminem’s label Shady Records, sparking a conflict between the two labels as Ka informed Em that he would take the move personally. 50 Cent then dropped the diss single Life’s on the Line, in which he took shots at Ja and Muder Inc.
After hearing that 50 was in town and producing tracks at the Hit Factory in New York City, Ja rocked up with his crew to pay them a visit. As a result, 50 people were stabbed by Murder Inc artist Black Child, who was later arrested for assault.
In 2011, Ja Rule and 50 Cent ended their feud, and both Ja Rule and Irv Gotti admitted in 2013 that the rivalry had harmed Murder, Inc. as a record company. After four years of mocking Ja Rule, 50 Cent reignited the feud on Big Boy’s Neighborhood.
