Jeremy Giambi was born on 30 September 1974 in San Jose, California, USA. He completed high school at South Hills High School and then went on to enroll at California State University. He played collegiate summer baseball with Bourne Braves in 1994.
Career
Jeremy Giambi was first selected in the sixth round of the MBL Draft in 1996 by the Kansas City Royals. He made his debut in 1998. He was then traders to Oakland Athletics and then to Philadelphia Phillies in 2002.
Later on, he was traded by the Phillies to Boston Red Sox for Josh Hannock. After being released from being Red Sox he signed a contract with Los Angeles Dodgers in 2004 and Chicago White Fox in 2005.
