Career
Jessy Nelson is a dedicated and hardworking singer who began her career by auditioning for the eighth series of X-Factor UK. She was auditioned for a solo performance of “Bust Your Windows” by Jazmine Sullivan.
But, she was not able to make a mark, and she failed the audition at that instant. Once she failed that audition, she was paired with Perrie Edwards in a group called “Faux Pas.” One other group, composed of Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, was also created and named “Orion.”
But these groups were not able to progress, and it was not at all a fruitful collaboration. Later, the judges decided that they would call the two members from each group and mentor them. The group was named Tulisa Contostavlos. But later, on October 28, 2011, this group was Little Mix.
And this band showed a great performance, and all thanks to their utter hard work and dedication, they won the show on December 11, 2011. Little Mix became the first band in the history of X-Factor to win the show.
But, Nelson was a victim of cyberbullying while she was singing with Little Mix. In her collaboration with Little Mix, she has launched six albums with the group. All these albums were hits, and people were great fans of their singing. Confetti was the last album that she sang with the group.
Jesy was not able to cope with the mental health issues; therefore, she chose her health and left the band in 2020. She even stated in May 2021 that she has signed a record deal with Polydor Records and will be releasing solo songs under that label.
