Peyton committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks after turning down offers from the LSU Tigers, Tennessee Volunteers, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Florida Gators, Alabama Crimson Tide, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Oklahoma Sooners.
He played four years for the Arkansas Razorbacks, where he was a standout running back in his junior and senior seasons. He rushed for 959 yards and scored 12 touchdowns in 203 attempts over four years.
