Early Life and Career
Lauren Boebert was born in Florida on December 15, 1986. She moved to Montebello near Denver, Colorado, and later to Aurora, Colorado before having settled in Rifle, Colorado permanently.
Her family depended on welfare while she was growing up and had to drop out of high school to take care of her child in 2004 and earned a GED certificate in 2020. Boebert has claimed that she was raised in a Democratic household.

Controversies
Boebert pleaded to U.S Attorney General Merrick Garland that he was being lenient to BLM protestors and Capitol attackers and also said that BLM would burn cities down and destroy businesses.
She is against the teaching of critical race theory in schools because it would teach children to hate each other. But Boebert is a strong advocate for firearms, which is highly the reason why she is controversial in nature.
She urged Speaker Pelosi to uphold the 1967 law which exempts members of Congress to carry firearms and said she also intends to plan to carry a gun. She even published a viral video where she is seen to be walking in the neighbourhood.
She walked with a gun in her hip holster, but it was later clarified that the gun was not real. Boebert refused the bag check several times and set off the metal detectors. She called the metal detectors another political stunt by Speaker Pelosi.

But the logs show that she volunteered only nine times between May 2014 and November 2016. She was arrested for careless driving and operating an unsafe vehicle but failed to show up at court for the charges. She however pleaded guilty.
