Early Life
Behati Prinsloo was born on May 16, 1989, in Grootfontein, a tiny village in Otjozondjupa, Namibia, to church preacher Boet and bed-and-breakfast provider Magda. In 2005, she was discovered at a grocery shop by Sarah Doukas, owner of Storm Model Management.
She was signed to a South African modelling agency and began her career by doing local modelling work. She went to Grootfontein Secondary School and dropped out after Grade 9 to pursue a modelling career.
Career
Prinsloo moved to London in 2005 to pursue a modelling career, and she debuted on the runways of Prada and Miu Miu in Milan and Paris. She then worked for the British magazine Vogue, followed by Vogue Italia.
