David Bromstad was born on 17 August 1973 in Minnesota, USA. His parents are Diane Marlys Bromstad and Richard Harold David Bromstad. He is the youngest of four children born to his parents. His father is of Norwegian descent while his mother is half-German and half-Swedish.
He graduated his high school from Wayzata High school and then went on to pursue a career in design at Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida. Since his childhood, Bromstad was always inclined towards designing and he went on to take up designing as a career.
