Early Life

Fred Savage, born Frederick Aaron Savage was born on July 9, 1976, to Joanne and Lewis Savage. Savage was raised in Glencoe, Illinois. They later moved to California. He has two siblings, Ben Savage who is also an actor, and Kala, who is an actress and musician as well. Their father worked as a Consultant and Industrial Real Estate broker.  

He attended a private day school “the Brentwood School” in Los Angeles County and then went on to study at Stanford University, became a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English in 1999.


Savage at the age of 9, appeared on the TV show “Morningstar/Eveningstar”. Savage since then has been portrayed in films such as Dinosaurs! – A Fun-Filled Trip Back in Time!, The Rules of Attraction, The Wizard, Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Story, The Last Run, The Princess Bride, Welcome to Mooseport, and Austin Powers in Goldmember.
