Early Life

Ramsay Ferry, also known as Guy Fieri, was born on January 22, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio, to Penelope Anne and Lewis James Ferry, and raised in Ferndale, California. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

It was with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management. Throughout high school, he was a foreign exchange student in France, where he found his passion for cooking and cuisine.

Early Career

He began his culinary career in primary school, cleaning dishes and selling pretzels from his “Awesome Pretzel” cart to help pay for a vacation to France. He worked in the Red Lion Inn’s restaurant in Eureka, California.
