He is a native of Livingston, New Jersey. However, he was raised in Boca Raton, Florida. Being born on 6 November 1989, the 6ft. tall soccer player is the youngest of his three siblings, Janak, Lindsay, and Sadia. Janak and Jozy both used to play indoor soccer.

Injuries

In 2020, Altidore suffered a hamstring injury that required him to miss 4 to 5 weeks on the Toronto FC. He was playing against Columbus Crew SC. The news of the injury was not well received by the Toronto fans the MLS cup player was right around the corner.
