Marcus Ramone Cooper Sr. was born on December 27, 1984, in the Florida suburb of West Park, Carver Ranches. He grew up with his three siblings, Diamond Smith, Blue Smith, and Corey Mathis, a rapper and fellow Pretty Ricky member.
Career
Pleasure P joined the American R&B/hip-hop group, Pretty Ricky, in 1997 and remained a member until he quit in 2007 to embark on his solo career. “Did You Wrong,” his 2008 solo debut single, landed at #90 on the Billboard 100 Hot charts.
It ranked #20 on the top R&B/Hip-Hop charts. His 2009 solo debut album, The Introduction of Marcus Cooper, featured the song Under, which received a Grammy nomination. In 2008, he also made an EP under the name Boyfriend #2.
The second song from Flo Rida’s album R.O.O.T.S. gave him exposure and helped advance his career. He also had an appearance in Bad Girls Club 8: Las Vegas in 2013.
