Early Life
Marcus James Jordan was born on December 24th, 1990, to Michael Jordan and his first wife, Juanita Vanoy. He has two siblings, Jeffrey and Jasmine, and twin half-siblings, Ysabel and Victoria from Michael’s second wife,Yvette Prieto. Marcus’ mother and father got divorced in 2017.
Basketball Career
Marcus grew up in Highland Park, Illinois where he played high school basketball with his older brother, Jeffrey. Marcus played high school basketball at Loyola Academy and Whitney Young Magnet High School.
In 2009, he led the Dolphins to the Illinois 4A championship, scoring a game-high 19 points against Waukegan and earning tournament MVP honors. ESPNU ranked Marcus as the country’s 60th-best high school senior shooting guard.
Marcus attended the University of Central Florida for his NCAA basketball career. In his college career, he scored 1152 points. Marcus led UCF to a victory against the University of West Florida in the first game of the 2010-11 season, scoring a career-high 28 points on 8-11 field-goal shooting and 5-7 from beyond the line.
The same year, he had a team-high 18 points in a win over number-16-rated Florida. During his collegiate career, he was named to the 2011 C-USA Second Team and the 2010 C-USA All-Freshman Team.
Marcus then took a step back from basketball during his third year at the University of Central Florida in 2012. He did, however, finish college, getting a degree in hospitality management in 2013.

Adidas Contract
Marcus initiated the biggest headline for his time with the UCF team during his debut game with The Knights. During his UCF freshman year, he wore Air Jordans to an Adidas-sponsored team’s preseason exhibition game. Adidas terminated the contract as a result of Marcus’ conduct.
It caused the university to lose around $3 million in sponsorship money. Years later, the former student-athlete gave his side of the story with Complex, saying, “One of the things they told me on my visit is that I was going to be able to wear Jordans, and it wouldn’t be a problem.”
Nightclub Investigation
