Kenneth was charged with using a knife to rape a 16-year-old girl in 1995. He was then given a prison term of 18 to 54 months. He was accused of shooting Lamant Robinson in 2006 with a gun while also being charged with second-degree murder.

He was then detained and given a 7-year prison term. Petty was granted parole and freed in May 2016. Petty was detained once more in 2018 for violating the law by ignoring red lights, using an unlicensed vehicle, and other violations.
