Early Life

Shaquem Alphonso Griffin was born on 20 July 1995, in St. Petersburg, Florida, to Terry and Tangie Griffin. He was born less than 2 minutes after Shaquill Griffin, his twin brother was born. Shaquem had amniotic band syndrome since birth which caused his left-hand fingers to not fully develop.

The pain was so intense that at the age of four, he grabbed a butcher knife and planned to cut off his hand. His mother took the knife away from him, and his parents booked an amputation for the next day.
